KUT is reporting that East Side institution Sam's BBQ will shutter due to allegations that the restaurant bought some meat that was stolen from HEB. What?

One person "affiliated" with the barbecue restaurant was arrested in association with the theft, as were employees at Willies BBQ and La Morenita. The city has revoked all three restaurants' business licenses. Sam's has been around since the 1940s and been under the current ownership since 1978. More information as it comes in; let us know if you have any.
