Brandon Stratton, who up until recently was the chef of East Sixth cocktail/small plates restaurant The Good Knight, would like everyone to know that he's just as upset as they are that his restaurant shuttered. He sent us this note to pass on:
Thank you so much for spending your time with us at the Good Knight. The well wishes and compliments mean so very much to me and everyone else past and present that has worked at the GK. It was a very hard decision to make but a decision that had to be made none the less. Trust me, I'm just as bummed and pissed off as everyone else is. Thanks again so very much to all.
It's not all bad news, though: Stratton let drop that Austinites "will see me again as the Chef of another restaurant on E. 6th very soon." Details forthcoming.
