At this weekend's Aspen Food & Wine Classic, Bryce Gilmore of Odd Duck and Barley Swine served up a gourmet take on that Austin staple, the breakfast taco, at the Best New Chef showcase. Alas, his tacos didn't win crowd favorite — that went to Stephanie Izard of Chicago's Girl & the Goat. Gilmore was named one of ten 2011 Best New Chefs by Food & Wine magazine back in April and closed Barley Swine down for a few days in order to travel with his staff to Aspen.
