Beer Bill HB 602 Runs Out of Time

With the end of this year's legislative session comes the end of any hope for HB 602, the bill that would allow breweries to charge for tours and send visitors home with "up to 144 ounces of packaged beer." The bill got held up in the Senate by a late objection from beer conglomerate Anheuser-Busch InBev and simply ran out of time. Or, as St. Arnold brewery founder Brock Wagner told the Houston Chronicle, "We just got outgunned."
