Two Burger Reviews, Plus Pho Dan and Haddington's

Although surely it's a coincidence, we could hardly believe our eyes when we saw that Mike Sutter looked at Dirty Sixth burgers this week. This town's got burger fever! Anyway, Sutter wrote up burgers from the Beale Street Tavern, Casino el Camino, Chupacabra Cantina, 1886 Cafe & Bakery, Paradise Cafe, and Parkside. [Statesman]

And, what's this? Megan Giller continues her epic trailer quest at Texas Monthly by reviewing the cabrito burgers at the Giggling Goat and determines "this billy burger was not for kids." [TM]

Over at the Chronicle, Mick Vann finds that the key to finding good Vietnamese restaurants is to look for "older Vietnamese ladies dining there"; he finds them at Pho Dan. [Chron]

The Fearless Critic calls Haddington's a "food nerd's tavern"
: "Haddington’s highly respected head bartender has a unique instinct for what works, and a tireless perfectionism...But lookee here, the food’s also very good; often interesting and always comforting." [FC]
