Starting right now and throughout the week, Eater will be your headquarters for all things burger for this, our first ever Eater Burger Week. We're going to look at all the burgers this city has to offer, from old school drive-throughs to the future of Austin burgers.
We also asked some of our favorite restaurants to make a special Eater Burger Week creation. The chefs went to town creating some wild sounding burgers, and if we do say so ourselves, the end results are pretty fantastic. We'll highlight each burger later in the week, but below is a quick guide to what's being offered:
FINO: Strube Ranch Waygu beef burger with braised oxtail jam, piquillo pepper aioli, Manchego cheese, Bluebonnet Farms heirloom tomato, and local butter lettuce on a housemade sesame bun. Served with crispy potato croquettes and sherry pimenton ketchup. Dinner only, Monday through Saturday.
TenOak: A beef/chorizo burger stuffed with goat cheese and topped with avocado and queso fresco. Monday-Thursday.
Black Sheep Lodge: Chicken-fried burger with buttermilk-bacon gravy. Wednesday through Tuesday.
