Austin food writer/blogger Crystal Esquivel's Food Lovers' Guide to Austin comes out today (buy on Amazon) and covers Austin area restaurants, foods, shops, farmers' markets, supper clubs, and events with hand-drawn illustrations by Jill Butler. Also, recipes from the restaurants! The six-inch square (and thus conveniently portable) book is fairly thorough and the entries, which are more summaries with dish recommendations than straight-up reviews, are arranged geographically with cross-indexes by cuisine and dish/specialty in the back.
