Mama Roux Owners Found Dead In Possible Murder-Suicide

Restaurateurs Michael F. Amr and Yolanda C. Amr were found dead in their home in an apparent murder-suicide. The couple owned Mama Roux New Orleans Style Cafe in North Austin, and prior to that were the original owners of Gumbo's. Apparently employees at Mama Roux has been told that the restaurant would close this week but weren't sure why.

Restaurant critic Rob Balon told the Statesman "It is a great loss to the restaurant community." Mike Sutter has some thoughts on the couple's legacy as well.
