HOLIDAY FEAST— The Homegrown Revival still has seats available for their Feast of the Seven Fishes next Wednesday, December 14th. Chef Sonya Cote of the East Side Showroom will prepare the traditional Italian Christmas Eve meal from seafood from the Gulf of Mexico. She will "drive down to meet the boats and choose the best of the by-catch* from that day, then tour the Springdale Farm gardens for winter delights before creating a multi-course extravaganza featuring seven fish dishes and their accompaniments." Mixologist Jason Stevens will recreate one of Charles Dickens's favorite punches, and the Graham Reynolds Trio will be playing Christmas tunes. Tickets are $125 per person, and the dinner is BYOB except for the pre-dinner cocktail and the punch. Cocktails will be served at 7pm, dinner begins at 7:30. [-EW-]
CAMPUS— The Carrilon hosts their annual Chemistry Kitchen this Thursday with chef Josh Watkins and chemistry professor David Laude. The class/food-geek-athon runs from 6-7:30 at the AT&T Conference Center and costs $36 per person. "Amazing chemical reactions and explosions will produce a series of gourmet tasting delights and a bubbling cocktail for your enjoyment!" I think that sums it up. [Facebook]
DEAL — Pei Wei is offering 25% off your entree today and tomorrow if you bring in a non-perishable food item to donate to the food bank. Craving Asian food but don't want the real thing, well here's that push you need. [AustinontheRocks]
