So, Is The Odd Duck Truck Closing Or Not?

New, 1 comment

Food & Wine has named the Odd Duck Farm To Trailer sliders some of the best in the country, which would be great except Odd Duck Farm To Trailer is kind of closed forever. Or not. Maybe? Kind of? Even chef and owner Bryce Gilmore doesn't seem to know just yet, alas.

Last month, Gilmore (of Barley Swine fame) told Eater Austin that the truck would close on December 10th, "for good with plans of something better in the spring." But then the Scrumptious Chef was all, maybe not y'all, maybe they are just moving.

Today, we stopped by the Odd Duck website, which advises visitors that they're merely "closed for the winter." So we e-mailed Gilmore to find out precisely what-the-what, and he says: "We haven't decided yet what we will be doing with the trailer." It's not much, but it's a little bit of hope for Gilmore's many fans.
