People of East Cesar Chavez, are you tired of not having access to high-quality espresso, gluten-free snacks and bagels, served to you in an adorable renovated home from a local couple who just want you to have nice things? Be tired no more, for Cenoté will soon open on East Cesar Chavez as a family-owned coffee shop in an 1887 house for which the owners have won an award from the Heritage Society of Austin. From their website:
We specialize in high quality espresso and “pour-over” organic, fair trade coffees that come from local roasters Cuvee’ and Third Coast. And we strive to serve delicious food that comes as much as possible from local organic producers as well as lettuce and greens from our own on-site garden (a work in progress), all the while providing our neighbors and friends with a comfortable and inviting space to check their email and/or meet and enjoy our homemade gluten-free pastries, salads, breakfast and lunch sandwiches.According to their Facebook page, they're "very close to completion," and also taking donations in exchange for t-shirts and gift cards.
