There are fans of craft beer, and then there are people who take it to a whole 'nother level by converting their kitchens, garages and sheds into home breweries. The Black Star Co-Op recently rewarded that kind of enthusiasm with their 2011 Homebrew Competition, with the winning brew to be sold at Black Star. That honor goes to homebrewer James Machin and his “Depths of Despair” Imperial Stout, made with juniper berries, licorice and oak. [Eaterwire]
