The voting for the 2011 Eater Awards has officially ended, and here are your finalists in each of the five categories. With the exception of today's Coolest Restroom category, each poll was open for 24 hours. There was quite the social media push by many of the restaurants and their fans, and the comments section on several of the polls was always entertaining to follow.
The finalists are chosen from the top three vote getters as selected by the readers, but in extreme cases an additional finalist may be added by the editor (according to Chapter 5 Subsection 23 Paragraph 3 of the Eater Awards statutes). Due to reader input, Jason Stevens has been added as a finalist to Bartender of the Year due to strong support in the comments. Also, Paul Qui has been added as a finalist to the Chef of the Year.
The winners will be announced on Monday, November 14th at the Eater Awards ceremony in New York City. Without further ado, here are your finalists!
