BOULDIN CREEK — J Mueller's BBQ will definitely be opening as planned tomorrow, Saturday. This opening will end John Mueller's five year hiatus from the Austin barbecue scene after his shop closed off Manor. Service will run from 2PM until they run out of food. [@JmuellerBBQ]

EAST — Takoba on E. 7th Street introduces their inaugural Mezcal Fest, tomorrow October 8th. Four producers will be there offering samples as well as tasting lessons. Tickets are $11 if purchased ahead of time, $15 at the door. [@TakobaAustin]
DOWNTOWN — Parkside will be hosting this month's Farmhouse Chef's Table Dinner on October 18th. Led by Chef Shawn Cirkiel, the evening will include cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, a five course meal, and wine pairings. $90 per person [Facebook]
