Mike Sutter has as much of an update as you can get on the opening of Easy Tiger, a bakery, cafe, and beer garden coming soon to East Sixth Street overlooking Waller Creek. "In the coming weeks."
Construction began this spring, and Eater had a look inside in June. Delays on permitting have set the project back months, but fans are still excitedly awaiting the opening.
The menu is being developed by chef Andrew Curren, currently of 24 Diner and a contestant on this season's Top Chef Texas. The bakery, helmed by master baker David Norman, will be baking breads for both customers and for restaurants and cafes around town.
May we all hope that "in the coming weeks" becomes "in the coming days" very soon.
