A rumor going around the Twitter tubes late today is that executive chef James Corwell is out at Haddingtons, replaced by chef CT Turgeon, formerly of Foreign & Domestic. Corwell came to Haddingtons from New Orleans in March of 2011 to replace then executive chef Zack Northcutt.
In July, Eater Austin spoke with owner Michael Polombo about the series of changes Haddingtons has undergone this year. With his concept of an American tavern, he wanted his elevated food in the pub setting to get people to think "wow, this food is amazing. Someone unfamiliar with the concept would be surprised how good it can get."
No word yet on where Corwell will be heading or what direction Haddingtons will take at this point. This news is still unconfirmed, and Eater will follow up whenever more information is available.
