Later this month La Boite Cafe is expanding from its location on South Lamar, adding a second trailer downtown. Co-owners Victoria Davies and Dan Bereczki opened the original architecturally-significant trailer in November, 2009. It has become known as a spot that uses as many high quality local products in its oft-changing seasonal (sometimes weekly) cafe menu.
The design of the new trailer will remain consistent with the current one, with an almost identical build-out from the same Mark Meyer of DesignStudio Modern. The menu will be similar as well, Davies tells Eater Austin. "Macarons, croissants, daily sandwiches drawing from as much local as we can manage"
Davies and Bereczki have set a tentative opening date of October 24th, pending the usual power and permitting. the new location will be in the little park adjacent to the Old Bakery Building at 10th and Congress.
