A new bar and restaurant is slated to open by the end of the year in the now-vacant location of Katz's Deli on W. 6th Street. The new tenants, owners of The Geisha Room bar at 5th and Congress, are planning "a New Orleans-themed bar and limited-menu restaurant." Mark Katz klosed his iconic Austin deli on New Years Day earlier this year. [ABJ]
