Rainey Street residents aren't the only ones who have issues living near bars with live/loud music: it seems the denizens of West Sixth Street have noise complaints of their own, and some high-rise condo owners are paying upwards of $15,000 to soundproof their homes. Says Downtown Austin Neighborhood Association president Jamie Lagarde, "I think it's going to work where we have great establishments, even in non-entertainment districts of downtown and residents can sleep at night as well."
