El Chile Group Ditches Downtown for First Love, Manor Road

The El Chile restaurant group is closing its El Chilito location on Congress tomorrow; they've never had much success with the location, which was originally a full-blown El Chile but swapped concepts with their Barton Springs property in January (which remains open, as an El Chile).

Never fear, though, downtown was never really their thing, and they've got something new coming to their Manor Road stronghold: Flat-Top, a burger joint that will be in the old gas station by the original El Chile location, will open early next year. The El Chile group also owns the original El Chilito and Red House pizzeria on Manor.
