Hide your food trucks, Austin! Looks like we've got some trailer thieves on the loose. A second food truck has gone missing: Barry Boyett's Hook 'em Up Tacos was taken from its location on 2222 the Wednesday before Christmas. Police have no leads and we're sure Boyett and company would appreciate all the tips they can get, so if you've heard or seen anything, let us know and we'll pass it along.
No word on whether this theft is connected to the Lucky J's Chicken and Waffles truck that went missing either on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Lucky J's was found in a field in Williamson County yesterday thanks to an anonymous tip, and owner Jason Umlas told the Statesman that the truck was found "pretty intact." So do we have some serial food truck pranksters on our hands here or is this totally unrelated?
