The Austin History Center is currently showing an exhibit of photographs of Austin's diners from the 30s through the 70s, including photos from the Night Hawk chain and the Civil Rights-era sit-ins. Also, they could use a hand in identifying the cafe and diners in two of the photos above, so if you recognize anyone, do let us know.

Blue Plate Special: Photos from the Diner Era is running through April, so no excuses. The Austin History Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 6:00 and Sundays noon to 6:00; (512) 974-7379.
