Statesman food critic Mike Sutter has written the paper's annual Dining Guide, dubbing 2010 "The Year of the Hybrid" in honor of the many high-low combo restaurants that opened this year (and so he can make some car jokes). The guide splits the city's restaurant scene into three categories: upscale, casual and trailers. Each category gets a list of best dishes, a "sampler" list, and a Newcomer of the Year: Foreign & Domestic! Takoba! Franklin Barbecue! (We approve.)
Check out Austin 360 for the full list, but be warned: there's a grand total of 150 restaurants (plus trailers!) on it, which could keep you busy pretty much til next year's list comes out.
