Eight Austin Mexican Restaurants In Texas Monthly's Top 50

The Texas Monthly 50 Best Mexican Restaurants in Texas list is out, and not only did Fonda San Miguel make the top five restaurants in the whole state, but seven other Austin restaurants are on the list as well.

Curra’s Grill, El Mesón, El Naranjo, Garrido’s, La Condesa, Manuel’s, and Takoba all got nods, showing that Austin has a wide range of quality Mexican, both in terms of price and region of influence. Austin has the fourth highest number of restaurants on the list, behind Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, all of which have nine. Not too shabby considering those are all much larger cities.
