Man Gets 70 Year Sentence After Stealing Tuna Sandwich

New, 10 comments

41 year old Larry Dayries must've really, really wanted a tuna sandwich back in January, when he stole a tuna sandwich from the north Austin Whole Foods. He then attacked a security guard with a knife after being confronted at his car.

Yesterday, a Travis County jury sentenced Dayries to 70 years in prison for aggravated robbery (he was a repeat offender with multiple felonies on his record.) We're guessing the tuna sandwiches from Whole Foods are probably a lot better than the ones in jail.
