As previously hinted, pastry chef Soraiya Nagree is opening a classic French-style patisserie in South Austin called, you guessed it, La Pâtisserie. We now have more details on the shop, including the exact location: it will be in a converted house on the corner of Annie and South 1st, behind Roadhouse Relics (also known as the place with the Austin postcard mural). The shop will serve Nagree's signature macarons in addition to other traditional French pastries, and will serve coffee and tea. Nagree hopes to open in mid-November, but from the looks of her Twitter feed that may be a bit optimistic.
