Banger's Sausage House and Beer Garden on Rainey Street is going through some renovations, according to their Facebook page. The construction will take place in phases. The first consists of adding a large storage shed that will mimic a small house, and creating an additional awning for the porch so that more seats are covered. That covering will be made with wood timbers and incorporate customized light fixtures designed by Mickie Spencer, who also worked on the interior. This is expected to be completed sometime in early August. For the second stage, the kitchen will be completely remodeled and expanded. The new larger kitchen will allow Banger’s to keep up with their food demand.
Banger’s will remain open during the renovations. A rep for Banger’s said that construction will take place during the daytime when the restaurant is closed on Mondays through Wednesdays before 4pm. During the kitchen remodeling, food will be served through rented food trailers where the Banger's staff will cook. The restaurant opened in the summer of 2012.
